VF-19 Medals are sorted in three main categories, listed below.

Medals are awarded solely upon recommandation from a Commanding Officer.

 

Engagement and Combat Medals

 Distinguished Flying Cross

Awarded for 10 confirmed kills in one round of combat.

 Medal for Exceptionnal Value

Awarded for an exceptionnal and long lasting contribution to the Squadron.

Navy Cross

Awarded saving VF19 pilot's ass during combat. (AKA Good Wingman Award)

Legion of Merit

Awarded for distinguished service in inter-squadrons matches.

 Silver Star

Awarded for maintaining a 3 to 1 Kill/Death ratio in combat.

 Bronze Star

Awarded for maintaining a 2 to 1 Kill/Death ratio in combat.

Purple Heart

Awarded for successfuly completed combat with damaged or crippled plane.

Naval Good Conduct

Awarded for maintaining good diplomacy in face of a cocky/rude/jerk when flying for VF19 in an online combat .

Combat Action Medal

Awarded for an active participation in a VF-19 event or match.

Navy Achievement Medal

Awarded for successfully completing carrier landings and training trials.

Joint Service Medal

Awarded for active training of Enseigns to combat ready level.

Meritorious Service Medal

Awarded for good attendance for one month in all VF19 affairs after enlistment.

NATO Service Medal

Awarded for participation in a match with an allied squadron.

Pain in the Ass  Medal

Awarded for shooting a VF19 team mate on purpose during a combat mission. Not exactly an honor...

Team Tournament Medal

Awarded for taking part in the first VF19 Team Tournament held from January to March 2005. Medal will bear the inscription: 0103 2005, plus a pin showing the number of rounds (from 1 to 8) played by the awarded pilot. Ribbon will bear the same pin.

Team Tournament Top Gun Star

Awarded for presenting the higest overall score in the first VF19 Team Tournament held from January to March 2005.  The ribbon  will bear the inscription: TT 1 2005.
